ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Kyana!
I am a (soon-to-be) journalism graduate who has been recognized and awarded for high-quality and creative multimedia storytelling, sharing authentic and accurate narratives about underrepresented and engaging people and communities.

I host a radio show for MET Radio 1280 AM called "Toronto Nature Now," produce a video podcast called "SJL: Art 101," and created a limited series podcast for a project called "Faking the Presses."
I also like to illustrate graphics for feature stories in the Review of Journalism and sometimes "journal" (blog) about my experiences in the journalism industry, my work, and my interests!

In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies, TV shows, and theatre performances. I'm currently reading Louise Penny's Chief Inspector Armand Gamache Series and Jane Austen's works; my favourites are Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Northanger Abbey.
